In today's beverage industry, the proportion of foreign bottles and different container sizes is constantly increasing. This presents bottlers, beverage wholesalers, branches and distribution centers with considerable challenges when it comes to sorting empties. For efficient production, however, unmixed empties are essential in the bottling plant.
Our solution: Customized beverage sorting systems
As a system provider with decades of experience in packaging technology, we offer customized sorting systems that are precisely tailored to your requirements. Our solutions range from manual to semi-automated to fully automated systems, depending on the proportion of foreign bottles and the mix of types in your containers.
Sorting type 1 :
Sorting by recognition of individual bottles on a single-lane conveyor after de-crating.
No sorting of crates here, but often a crate quality inspection module is used after the depalletizer (type, size, debris, bottle types, logos, color, etc.)

Sorting type 2 :
Sorting by recognition of individual bottles on a single-lane conveyor after de-crating associated with crate sorting.
Detection of bottle type downstream from the decrater. Bottles are first removed all at once, followed by separation by bottle format after return to a single lane.
Shown on the diagram and available for all versions: use of a crate quality inspection module after the depalletizer (type, size, debris, bottle types, logos, color, etc.)

Sorting type 3 :
Combination of bottle sorting and crate sorting
Detection of bottle type upstream by the decrating system itself, followed by a two-step bottle removal by the machine: first the main format on its dedicated lane, then the secondary formats on another lane.
Advantage: This limits the conveyor line speed downstream of the decrater.
